Packing for Paris
Soon we’ll be headed off on a return trip to Paris. We have rented a truly gorgeous apartment (complete with a tiny Parisian balcony!) in the Marais (4th arrondissement). I am counting down the days until I am exploring the city of lights again, hopping on the train for a couple of daytrips outside of Paris, and living and breathing my favorite culture. By happenstance, we are yet again visiting in September which I have found to be ideal. Summer travelers are fewer, all of Paris has returned from les vacances of August, and the weather is unbelievably gorgeous with sunny, pleasant days and cool evenings portending fall. In case you would like to see, here is what I packed on our last visit in September. I am currently loving the idea of a fall palette of neutrals accented with warm cognac and eggplant, so that was my inspiration for packing. I put together a lot of options for outfits below with this relatively minimal amount of clothes, but am glad to know I have countless more options to mix and match within this palette.
